The global demand for gypsum is constantly increasing. In addition to the limited natural gypsum resources, the switch to renewable energy sources has led to a reduction, as the REA gypsum generated in coal-fired power plants is no longer available . In addition, environmental regulations prohibit the storage or disposal of gypsum waste on stockpiles and landfills.
With the trend-setting process of the HÄNDLE Gypsum Recycling Plant GRC, gypsum wallboards can be recycled into pure gypsum with different grain sizes (0 – 2 mm to 2 – 10 mm) and that in an environmentally friendly way. The raw material thus obtained can be used directly in the gypsum and cement industry.
